Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates may be responsible for:
- Safely operating tractor-trailers and commercial trucks
- Transporting goods across assigned routes
- Performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Loading and unloading freight when required
- Securing cargo using approved safety methods
- Completing logbooks and transport documentation
- Operating GPS and communication systems
- Communicating with dispatch teams
- Delivering goods safely and on time
- Following all provincial and federal transportation regulations
- Providing professional customer service during deliveries
Qualifications
Education
- No degree, diploma, or certificate required
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of commercial truck driving experience preferred
Required Licences
- Valid Class 1, AZ, or Class A Commercial Driver’s Licence
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is an asset
- Clean driving record
